    Communication Tips Minimize
Parents Encouraged to Contact a Teacher!

Communication is the key to success. The Buckeye Elementary Schools have several ways for you to contact your student’s teachers.

Each teacher can be contacted by leaving a message on their voice mail. The Buckeye phone number is 330-72-BUCKS (330-722-8257). Once you press “4” to access the Intermediate School, or "5" to access the Primary School, press the star key to utilize the phone directory. Otherwise, you can follow the menus to reach the office staff and the office secretary can help direct you to the correct voice mail box.

Each teacher can also be contacted through email. The email address format is usually the first initial followed by the last name. For example, Mr. John Doe’s email address would be jdoe@buckeyeschools.org.  Contact the school office if you need any help finding an email address.

Progress Book is a great tool that you should use at least weekly to track your student’s progress. Progress Book is located on the homepage of Buckeye Local Schools www.buckeyeschools.org. Click on the blue icon entitled “Parent Access - Progress Book.” The teachers input grades into the program and you can view your student’s scores. Progress Book has links to put you in contact with your student’s teacher, as well. You will need your student’s user name and password. If you have lost the username and password, progress book can send it to you, or you can contact our progress book administrator by calling 330-722-8257 ext. PROG (7764) or by emailing progressbook@buckeyeschools.org.  Using progess book, you can even link all of your children’s accounts so you can more easily keep track of all of your children’s progress in school.

Progress Book is an excellent tool that will help you and your student.  Please become familiar with it as soon as possible.
