BJHS STUDENTS CARE FOR THOSE IN NEED!
The weather may be cold outside, but inside the walls of Buckeye Jr. High, students were collecting warmth in the weeks leading up to winter break. The student council initiated a winter clothing drive to help those in need living in Medina County stay warm this season. They collected new and unused scarves, gloves, mittens, and hats that the Salvation Army distributed to those who needed them. To generate interest for this special cause, student council members took turns singing Christmas carols on the morning announcements that were specially rewritten for this collection. A snowman display was put up in the hallway across from the office to show how many items were collected. For every ten items brought in, another decoration was added to the snowman. Even without it being a homeroom competition, students were very generous and as a whole, brought in more than 220 items!

    PROJECT CARE STRIKES AGAIN!!!
As a way to spread kindness and cheer, the 7th and 8th grade Project Care members stayed after school to decorate holiday cookies and cards for the staff of Buckeye Junior High School. The following morning the students made a special delivery to each staff member presenting them with a cookie, glass of milk, and a hand-made holiday card. The Project Care members were delighted to see the staff pleasantly surprised by their act of kindness.
